UK asset manager Liontrust Asset Management is exploring outsourcing parts of its trading to BNY, according to an update released this morning. Liontrust was awarded the Multi-Asset Trading Desk of the Year and Mid-Cap Trading Desk of the Year by The TRADE in 2022 and 2017 respectively.

Ryan O’Connor left Goldman Sachs Asset Management and is set to join ETF provider Global X ETFs as chief executive on 8 April. He most recently served as global head of ETF product, having initially joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management back in 2017 to build out the US fund strategist model portfolio business.

Hosie originally joined Credit Suisse in 2017 as its head of equities Asia Pacific, later assuming responsibility of the asset class for both Asia Pacific and EMEA and eventually taking up the role in a global capacity in 2023. He took up the role on an interim basis in March. He began his trading career at UBS in Hong Kong.

Global head of equity trading at Janus Henderson, Dan Royal, accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award from The TRADE last night at the first ever Leaders in Trading New York awards ceremony. After 10 years in his first role, Royal moved to SJO Asset Management where he spent two years as a senior global trader based in Geneva.

Most recently, he served as equity and derivatives trader, vice president at SSGA, focused on the EMEA region, having joined the desk in December 2016. During his time at Cboe, Tilly was a driving force behind Cboe’s acquisition of BATS Global Markets in 2017, as well as overseeing the launch of products including 0DTE options.
