    Description

The European Investment Bank is participating in the 2X Challenge, a global initiative to improve women’s access to quality employment, support their business leadership and to provide them access to finance. As part of that initiative, we work with financial partners to promote 2X challenge goals.

Those goals include adhering to criteria that provide a backbone for gender-lens investing. Financial partners working with the European Investment Bank (EIB) will be considered part of the 2X challenge if they pledge a minimum of 30% of an EIB credit line to small, medium or large companies that clearly meet one of the 2X criteria. Those partners will also receive additional support and exposure for investments that meet the 2X Challenge conditions.
